MUNCHI

Posted 12 May 2010 | Post

Versatility is one of the admirable traits that any artist could have.  The ability to switch between styles is necessary in order for any artist to keep their material fresh on the path to maintaining a solid career.  The first time I heard the Dutch artist, Munchi, was on his B-More Club promo album which you can find here.  While it is a quality collection, it is indeed made up of some of the most B-MOREific tracks I’ve ever heard (i.e. lots of “hey, yeah, hey, uuh,”), which made me assume that the guy was probably stuck to just the one genre.  After looking at his blog, however, I quickly realized my initial assumptions were far from correct and that Munchi has dabbled with many different styles of electronic music.  One of the more interesting pieces he did was his Moombahton Promo EP, in which he combines his different influences into these slow, neo-cumbia style beats.  Be sure to seek out more from this dude, he pretty much has stuff for any mood.

B-Mo:

Munchi – Puta Cabrona

Munchi – Imma Get Medieval

Moombahton:

Munchi – Pepe Volvio

Munchi - Sandungueo
