TOMORROW: GET SHIFTY @ CENTRAL in Santa Monica
Tomorrow, we’re going in at the Central Social Aid and Pleasure Club for one of (if not the) biggest Get Shifty that we’ve ever done. Along with Shifty fam, we’ve pulled homies from all over LA to come help us celebrate. I’ll be in the house along with my boys, Beateaz (Mr. Rudetoon Records himself), our very own VINC3pO, and our headliners for the night, Random Citizens. I will, however, point out that although we’ve had Danny Parra and Marvel the Gr8 grace our soundscape before, this time the Citizens will be playing a FULL LIVE SET along with their very own drummer, Vazif.
We’ve already given you the 411 on Market Price, who are coming off a HOT week of hype, and are set to destroy the front room.
We’re also proud to host the second member of the Mad Decent crew to make an appearance at a Get Shifty (after Paul Devro a couple months back). In addition to a full time job running one of Billboard’s Top 50 best indie labels in the United States, Benzona‘s been killing dancefloors with his Moombahton infused sound, whether it be at his residency at Mad Decent’s monthly Blow Your Head event, or any other number of gigs that he’s been booked at in recent months. Although the homie’s not specifically known for original productions, his DJ sets produce some of the shiftiest sounds you’ll hear on a dancefloor.
Next, we’re proud to welcome another member of DANCEiSM, our other favorite collective in LA. The man’s name is, Dom Corleone, and he’s been known to disrupt your bowel movements with his signature 808′s and ghetto bass sound. In addition to a murderous Pon de Floor remix, Dom’s an up and coming producer in his own right. Check his sounds here.
