MVM: Frank Ocean – Swim Good
My latest Music Video Mondaze discovery today came to me this weekend by the one and only Cutty Cav aka Cavalry aka that DJ you’ve never seen that killed the mainstage before me at Get Shifty this weekend aka The Animal. Its a new Frank Ocean joint called Swim Good, off his mixtape Nostalgia/Ultra (download below). I didn’t even know it, but it turns out that the video is the latest endeavor from one of my favorite music video directors out there, Nabil. Check out his reel, but as a highlight, he also did the video for Novacane as well as videos for Kanye, Bon Iver, Nas and Damien Marley, Seal, etc. The themes, design, and cinematography in this track are amazing, and so is the song. It’s a perfect package any way you spin it.
…not to mention the panda swag. It’s not a Red Panda, but we’ll take it.
