MVM: XV – The Kick
I’m very proud to present this week’s music video, which has been at the forefront of my attention for the last month. My latest endeavor into directing was for XV’s “The Kick”. The DJ Tech-Neek produced single pays homage to Inception, and is a journey into the psyche of XV as he shares a very profound perspective on his life at this point. With the music video, there are obvious thematic references to the movie, but overall the idea was to create a simple-but-beautiful character piece that showcases the talent and humanity of XV through his performance. I’m very proud and humbled by the enormous response that this video has received over the past 3 days, and I hope you enjoy it yourself. Many thanks to XV for an amazing performance, and to William Carnahan (my Cinematographer) and Jose Ibarra (1st AC) for making this piece look so good.
