MVM: J*DaVeY – SLOOOW

This week, I’m bringing back a J*DaVeY music video from 2009 for two reasons.

1) It’s quality.

2) It has a high relevance, because Shifty is hosting an 18+ show with them at the Echo this Thursday (and it’s not very often that we do 18+ shows, for all you 18-20 year olds).

If you haven’t heard of J*DaVeY, it’s a Los Angeles (but world traveled) duo consisting of vocalist/emcee Jack Davey and producer/writer Brook D’Leau.  Genre wise, they’re pretty hard to categorize.  But they’ll be sure to give you a thick blend of hip-hop culture, electronic innovation, a soul/funk spirit and a punk attitude.  I’ll be making an appearance as musical support for them on the 12th, along with my boys The Brians (of Random Citizens), and FunktheFresh (of Controversy! and Magnetic Magazine).
