The track is a smooth blend of in your face percussion and heavy sub, with just enough melody to help carry the tune throughout. Perfect for flaring up any day time pool party. Next up is another release from LA native’s BODY HIGH and comes to us in the form of a Chicago juke monster by the name of “Bait”. Windy City wonder man Brenmar and up and comer DJ Sliink take a simple yet catchy sample and rework the thing into an incredibly energetic track which will have you sayin “work” all day long. The boys over at the label were cool enough to give this one out for free after so many DJ’s begged for the track, so make sure you grab your free copy below and keep up on the BODY HIGH crew, they are sure to make some more noise before the Summer is over…

Our third selection is off of Kill The Noise’s new EP and comes to us from up and coming LA producer Brillz. Out of all the remixes on the package, this one stood out largely in part to the powerful intro. It feels like some sort of cinematic battle theme. Many producers seem to forget how important a great intro is and skip right to the core of their track. Not with this one. Take a gander yourself…

The next track and artist are somewhat of a guilty pleasure of mine, and rightfully so. Daytona Beach, Florida resident Kitty Pryde, has been raising some brows in the music world with her downtempo distressed lyrical style, and is one of the most talked about up and coming female MC’s in the game right now. Personally, I have a giant crush on this girl so pretty much anything she puts out these days speaks to me, as well as a lot of young girls who probably share the sentiments she relays in her music. The track is called “Hittin Lix” and is the first single off of her album that she is set to release in December. You can pick it up below for free, or choose to throw some of your hard earned money Kitty’s way to thank her for her work…

To finish things off for the week, we have the latest work of Shifty homies gLAdiator and New Zealand’s Chromatic. Sampling “Still Tippin” by Mike Jones & Paul Wall is never a bad idea, and these guys happen to take the one line that has stuck with all of us since the day it came out. Grab a cup, pour up, and let your trunk shake…
